ANDREW MAXWELL

A true heavyweight of the comedy world. Andrew Maxwell is a multi‑award‑winning stand‑up with a career spanning decades, known for his unmistakable voice, razor‑sharp intelligence, and effortless storytelling.
You’ll recognise him as the iconic narrator of MTV’s Ex On The Beach, as well as from Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, The News Quiz, and countless festival appearances across the globe.

Andrew’s comedy blends political insight, quickfire improvisation, and a warmth that instantly brings an audience onside. Whether he’s dissecting world events or riffing with the front row, he’s a master performer at the top of his game — the kind of act who turns a great night into a memorable one.

Host/MC: ASH FRITH

Guiding the night is Ash Frith — a seasoned comic who has supported Russell Kane, Terry Alderton, and many more. Ash is the perfect host: warm, quick on his feet, and brilliant at keeping the room buzzing between acts.

About the Venue 

Chalkwell Park Rooms has a well stocked bar 

The Chalkwell Park Room has step‑free access throughout, including the entrance, bar area and accessible toilet. If you have specific access needs, you’re welcome to let us know in advance.

The venue is a short walk from Chalkwell Station (c2c line), with regular trains between Southend and London. Several bus routes stop nearby, and there is parking in the Chalkwell Park car park  and in the surrounding roads. Walking, cycling or using public transport is encouraged where possible.
